During the summer of 2006 I attended a three day workshop on Tibetan energy work. This was an interesting change for me. For some time I had been operating under the concept of staying within the parameter of the tools I had learned years ago in order to master those skills. All well and good, but that concept was outdated. It was time to expand my viewpoint and play!
For a clairvoyant who’s accustom to looking at past lives, spirit guides, mental programming, mental images, and other assorted energies, describing these newly learned techniques and concepts as “unusual” is ironically funny. Some of these concepts were new to me, and many were just a variation on what I knew. Nonetheless, I accomplished many things in this learning experience, most importantly the expansion of my viewpoint. That is not my point, but then again, it is.
I wanted to practice these techniques, for actions (as we all know) speak louder than words. We did a little practical work during this three day period, but time did not permit for personal implementation with so many topics to cover. I felt a degree of frustration, as though I had not completed a process or cycle. At the end of the weekend I spoke with the instructor about this concern, and she suggested I call her in a few days.
Those days passed, and I was not yet ready to call. I figured I could call her on Friday. I had time that day, and could formulate my words a little better. One of the thoughts that ran through my mind was “I guess I have to do it myself”, a popular personal topic for me these days. After all, I teach that all healing is self-healing, and support others in their own self-empowerment, and lately I had been focusing again on bringing home more of my energy by letting go of needs and wants outside of myself. I have accepted that concept, that the ability to change and create is within me. So this situation was merely another example of my ability to create my own life. So why did I still feel I had unfinished business? What was I seeking that required that phone call?
