It feels as though I have fallen into a great pit
The earth beneath me has opened wide its jaws
Her teeth are as jagged mountains
I am lost on the foothills
The darkness has swallowed me whole
and I have found no peace amidst weary nights
My slumber is spent tossing and turning, avoiding the pain
I simply wish for all of this to go away
I see an escape close-by but fear has held on
It clutches at my soul begging for me to stay
I wish to run, I wish to hide
But the fire is what keeps me inside

Leave a Confession
