Grave

The moon grows dark

The air gives a silent chill

I rest my head on what lays forever still

The earth has swallowed your flesh

The void has taken your life

I wish I could of have hidden the knife

The ocean’s beauty means nothing to me now

I only hear the call of the vulture

There is no significance to life, only torture

You rest easy in this place of silence

I spend the nights quaking with tears

I only wish you were somewhere near

This grave has become your home

Your legacy is my hymn

Rest easy my love and walk with Him
