Momma Said There’d Be Days…

…Like this.

Honestly, today hasn’t been the greatest. It hasn’t been the worst by any means but discouraging for…reasons.

I’ve been kind of stuck in my head all day. Work was tough but it wasn’t awful. Also, in a surprise twist of events I quit roofing. I won’t go into any detail here but it will suffice to say that things weren’t working out. I tried to push through and I hoped that it would get better but as we can see, it didnt. I’m definitely thankful for the experience and the weight lost!

I did, luckily, receive a job replacement and I will be working technology and maintenance for the rest of the summer! But being so darn hard on myself kind of takes away from the excitement. Should I be kicking myself so hard? Should I feel like a failure?

Honestly, I know the answer but I don’t feel that it’s true. I don’t know, just one of those days. This week has been incredibly rough on the mental state due to the exhausting heat and labor. Thankfully, I’m heading to Atlanta to see my family tomorrow! I’ll also be taking a trip to Six Flags Over Georgia with my dad so this all should be a much needed break! I hope you guys have all had a great week! Keep pushing through! It’s soon to be Friday and then Friday will be over! Yay for the weekend!

I’m honestly struggling with words and typical functions today so do forgive me.

Cheers!

        You should make it happen!! I live a couple hours away, it’s worth the drive & super fun. Whenever you do venture out, ride “The Cheetah” it’s my favorite. (;

        Also, you shouldn’t feel like a failure because you found another job. You didn’t fail, you decided something was t working out for you so you found something that does. That is life. You’re succeeding at it.

      4. That was most encouraging! My issue was listening to the voices of people who said I couldn’t really do much. It made me wonder…but, like you said, it’s part of life! Thank you 🙂

        Clearly those people are incorrect. Look at you doing things.

        I was talking to a friend the other day about people being unkind. I just didn’t understand. He told me that some people just don’t like seeing other people’s happiness.

        Congratulations on your new job.

      6. I definitely would agree with that sentiment! For some odd reason there are those in this world who frown upon the good things in life. Thankfully there are those like you and your friend who find the value in these things!! Thank you for your encouragement!
