I legitimately haven’t had the opportunity to sit down and write for leisure since the end of summer. For the last 6-8 weeks I’ve been hard pressed for time, hardcore pre-occupied with living life, and kind of scratching the bottom of the barrel in terms of topics to write about.

BUT

Today is different. For the first time all semester I’ve sequestered myself into my room, caught up on homework, and am now going to write for leisure’s sake!

First off, today is Back to the Future day! Yay! If you know me at all this excites me simply because I’m a movie nerd and BTTF happens to be my third all time favorite movie (Behind Jaws and Jurassic Park). Honestly, our 2015 is nothing like theirs but it’s ok! I’m a satisfied nerd who can now say I’ve been to the future!

My eyes have been out of whack for the last few weeks (almost going on a month now). I have astigmatism in both eyes but they typically don’t bother me as much as they have been. I’m chalking it up to allergies but regardless of my presumptions I ended up in the doctor’s office today. Would you like to know what they told me?

And would you like to know how much it cost me?

Way. Too. Much.

I mean for real. I have a great paying job and all but good grief I don’t have millions to hand around to doctors. So, I sit here with both eyes burning and blurry because of allergies. Now it’s time for me to go scrum around for some knock off benadryl.

I’m actually kind of sad that fall is kicking into higher gear just because that means winter is coming. I kid you not, I’ll be wearing a jacket, a long sleeve shirt, and pants but still find a way to shiver until the cows come home. Sad thing is, it really isn’t that cold. My Florida blood is not ok with ridiculously frigid temperatures. Hopefully sooner or later I’ll get used to it.

It’s shaping up to a pretty busy but great weekend! There’s a lot on the plate but I’ll be spending it with someone who makes all the difference. 😉
