Confessions Through Photography: A Step (Back) In Time

While the rest of the world wastes their time arguing/debating about politics, I decided to do some sightseeing!

I’m in Florida this weekend scrawling down the coast over the next two days. I had a college fair in Jacksonville this morning with no pressing need to get my to next stop. I don’t get many chances to visit my home state anymore and I wanted to make the most out of it!

I grew up in between Tampa and Orlando and after all of my years living in this state, I had never gotten a chance to experience St. Augustine. Being a major history buff, this was a disappointing accolade to my name. BUT

Today, my dear friends, that all changed.

It was glorious.

Here are the pictures I took of our nation’s oldest city! Click on each individual image for a full-screen view. Enjoy!

  1. HI Matthew,
Thanks for the tour of this historic area in Florida. This is a beautiful area by the sea. I live on the prairies in Canada, a thousand miles from the sea. Here on the prairies we have ‘seas’ of grain crops. Our weather is not nearly so nice as Florida’s ! We had snow fall a few days ago.
