It’s a new month! It’s also going on a new day as I am plowing through my list of “blogging to-do’s.” That means that my specific request that time slows down has been denied, and is, instead, moving even faster.

*sigh*

In recent weeks, I have been all over kingdom come here in America. Arizona to Florida to Maryland. I’ve visited an incredible amount of beautiful places and I can’t wait to share those experiences with you. I’ve taken plenty of pictures and will hopefully share those this week. My #mattytakesamerica tour was a thriving, exhausting success. I’m blessed.

I’m also rambling.

I wanted to take a quick moment and address something that is incredibly exciting! WordPress now hosts (well, in two days) the newest, and I believe the best, website completely dedicated to the art of poetry.

PresserPoets will launch July 3rd and is the creation of my friend, Jaime Dill. She has a strong passion for Poetry and has decided to open up this beautiful world for the entirety of the interwebs to enjoy. Here’s what Jaime has to say about her newest creation:

The mission of PresserPoets is to provide a single location for us WordPress poets to showcase our work,  to mingle and support one another, while inviting others to our wonderful world of poetry.

So, how is she going to accomplish this? She goes on to say…

Daily goals will include posting poetry in various forms (type, audio, visual), promoting the other works and media platforms of our contributors,  and challenging followers with weekly themes and prompts…

Guest posts will be highly encouraged and welcomed. This will be a website dedicated to you, and for you, to grow in your knowledge, and expression, of poetry.

What’s better is that yours truly will be a featured author and contributor! I’ve had the great pleasure of getting to know Jaime in the last few weeks. She graciously extended the opportunity for me to come on board, and we have been working hard to get our first few posts underway.

The site goes live on July 3rd!

In an effort to better connect Confessions and PresserPoets, you will begin to see changes to my homepage through my adding of a page solely dedicated to Poetry and to PresserPoets.

I will be sure to follow up with you and post the link to the website when it comes online. You will be able to find pages chock full of unique, varying styles of poetry, articles relating to the technique and creation of poetry, and our personal bio pages.
